According to the Associated Press, author Arthur Miller has died.
Miller's most famous works are obviously and arguably Death of a Salesman and The Crucible. In the early 1990s I stage-managed another Miller play, A View From the Bridge. About half an hour before one performance I was told Miller was coming to see the show; in the frenzy of stage production, I never learned if he actually attended.
A few people have inquired why I haven't been active with this blog lately, so I suppose an entry is overdue. Between being busy and being sick, I haven't gotten around to much else.
I've been doing some editing, photo consulting and other work for a website for Environment Service Concepts, and have been negotiating some possible work with a few magazines.
As for being sick, I won't bore you with that. Suffice it to say that there's a particularly nasty cold virus wandering around the northeast United States, and it stopped by my place for a visit.
