Rocks and ships go together like oil and water. Therefore it follows that rocks and lighthouses are quite logically found in the same places. When shoreline boulders are such a dominant feature of a lighthouse's landscape, I like to try to find a way to photograph that combination. That's exactly what I was trying to do with the photo of Castle Hill Light in Newport, Rhode Island.
