Photographing Cape Blanco Light was an exercise in patience. Tour groups were in and out of the top of the tower, with only about a minute or two in between. As I wanted photos free of people, I had to set up, wait, shoot as much as possible in the intervals, then wait again. Happily, the persistence paid off. Then I went on the tour myself.
