Sakonnet Point Lighthouse sits on Little Cormorant Rock, 800 yards offshore from Little Compton, Rhode Island. The Sun sits smack in the middle of our solar system, about 93 million miles from the lighthouse. But brought together, they made for a spectacular scene, as seen from Little Compton's shore, on a very cold and partly cloudy winter day in 1998.
