I shoot a lot of sunsets pictures. One of the enjoyable challenges in doing so is finding a way to wrap a sunset photo around a defining element of a region. In this case, I wanted to try to mesh the vast cornfields of the Midwest U.S. with the setting sun, which was difficult because the stalks grow close together. My solution came in finding these few particularly high corn-stalk tassels that jutted above the top of the field, in a perfect space to be silhouetted by the orb of the sun just minutes before it settled behind the horizon.
