In this spring twilight sky near Big Bend National Park, all the illumination comes from reflection. The sun has already settled behind the horizon, but light still shines upward and illuminates the atmosphere, backlighting the clouds in the sky and the buttes on the landscape. Light reflecting off the bottom of heaven, creating, if only for a moment, a heaven on Earth.
