This landscape near Texas' Big Bend National Park reveals what I see as the three layers of a sunset: the land, the black, silhouetted hard angular lines of the mountaintops; the sky, orange and red, lined along the top with bottom-lit clouds; and, of course, the sun, peeking our way one last time before it sets into the west.
