With permission from one of the brothers, I photographed the fall foliage at Saint Joseph's Abbey in Spencer, Massachusetts. The leaves were past peak, but I found plenty of color and rustic charm in this stand of maples lining a wooden fence next to an open pasture. This was exactly the type of photograph I was hoping to make that morning.
