I'd been hiking Bryce Canyon's Navajo Loop Trail with my brother when I first saw this scene. Unfortunately, I hadn't brought a camera. So later I made the steep hike back into the canyon with a monopod, one camera body, one lens and a polarizing filter. Then I had to wait for clouds to stop blocking the sun so I could get some light on the scene.
