I was on a dirt road in Joshua Tree National Park, sitting in the car with the engine off, when I saw this bird. It flew from one tree to the next, coming closer to me, and I thought that if I waited, it might fly to the tree next to me. Sure enough, it did, and I got a nice environmental portrait of it.
