I made this photo during an artistic phase of shooting flowers with macro lenses. During that period, I went through a sub-phase of shooting flowers on dewy mornings or after rainy nights. This particular image came after the latter. The morning sky was still slightly cloudy, giving me perfect light for drawing out the strong colors of the flowers and leaves, while allowing a nice sparkle in the raindrops.
