A view of a peacefeul lake in western Cape Cod, in Plymouth, Massachusetts. I photographed this scene about 60 minutes after sunrise on a chilly autumn morning. Usually mist disipates quickly after the sun rises, but the air was so much colder than previous days (meaning the water was relatively quite warm) that the mist lingered well into morning — plenty long enough for me to make this photo, "Cape Cod Morning Mist and Clouds" and "Cape Cod Morning Lake and Mist."
