I'd like to tell you that I found this scene after weeks of scouting locations on Cape Cod, and after hours of hiking through the forest in preparation of an autumn sunrise photo. But the truth is, this is the view from my cousins' backyard. We'd all been awake for only about 10 minutes when we saw the sun peaking from behind the clouds and over the woods, back-lighting the mist on the lake. My cousin Jeremy brought his coffee outside to admire the scene, while I set up my camera and tripod to photograph it.
