This photo of Nobska Point Lighthouse in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, was the result of taking a second chance at a location after a 10-year interim. I'd originally photographed this lighthouse in 1996 or '97 as part of a winter-long project of recording Cape Cod snow scenes. I was never happy with my photos from the first shoot at Nobska Point Light, probably because we rushed our time there due to the frigid winds blowing off the ocean. But I knew Nobska was beautiful and wanted to try again — this time in early fall, when the breeze was a bit warmer.
