I had been looking to make a photo like this for about a month. I was in the Australian Outback for much of that time, but I hadn't been able to find a grouping of gum tree skeletons that I liked. On this day, I was driving toward Uluru in late-day light and just happened to spot these three trees about 100 meters off the road. I finally got what I was looking for.
