There's not much in the Australian Outback, but now and then you do see stock fences and gates — they're critical for the ranchers and jackaroos (cowboys) who try to keep their livestock from wandering off too far into the "Never-never Land." I photographed this gate and quickly jumped back into my truck to escape the harassment of about 30 Australian Outback flies.
