Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, Western Australia (AU395)

Cape Leeuwin, on Australia's southwest coast, is one of the most remote spots on earth. The next landfall to the west is South Africa, the next landfall to the south is Antarctica, and aside from Perth and a few small towns, the closest civilization is a three days' drive away. On the day I photographed here, the wind was coming off the Southern Ocean at 30 knots.
