| Places
to photograph; best time of day/year to shoot; tips about
shooting there: |
Not many great places to shoot. As a travel location,
Marco Island offers nice resorts, restaurants and shopping,
but not much aesthetic character. For character, visit
downtown and coastal Naples instead, about a 30 minute
drive away.
Being an island, you can photograph sunsets and sunrises
pretty easily, but there's not much to work with in the
way of foreground scenery some palm trees, boats,
and that's about it. Dolphins are often spotted off shore,
but you're not likely to find a good spot to photograph
them from land; instead, you'll have to get a boat.
Routes 92 and 951 have nice bridges that cross to the
island and can be shot at "magic hour" either
morning or end of day.
