| Blackwell Island Light |
Roosevelt Island, NYC |

Lots of options. From on Roosevelt Island, take the public paths directly to the lighthouse. From Queens, you'll find good angles along the river, especially from Socrates Sculpture Park (at the west end of Broadway), with Manhattan in the background. On the Manhattan side of the river, you can get good angles from Carl Schurz Park (at the west end of 86th Street). Light will hit it all day, though the buildings of Manhattan will block the sun toward sunset. |

Not very photographic, although the architecture is different than most lighthouses. But not a great location, not great-looking surrounds, and not in great condition. Easy to get to, though. |

Very photogenic lighthouse. Easiest to shoot from land, but the best shot is by boat. A walking bridge leads to the light. |
| Throgs Neck Lighthouse |

Not very photographic. It's just a scaffold with a beacon. The keeper's quarters are still there, but in all it just doesn't look like a lighthouse. |
| Titanic Memorial Lighthouse |
Manhattan |

Yes |
Was long ago moved from the harbor to the streets of Downtown Manhattan. You can photograph it, but not as a traditional lighthouse scene with water and coastline; rather, it's a city photo. It's at the corner of Fulton and Pearl streets. |
| West Bank (Range Front) Light |

Best viewed by boat or plane. The latter provides great compositional opportunities, as the man-made reef curves toward the lighthouse. Light hits it all times of day. |
